Francine Davis  joined the San Antonio Friendship Group in 2008.   Francine's sunset was on December 4, 2023.  Francine and her husband Frankie were very active members in the SAFG.  Francine served on the entertainment and hospitality committees.  Francine and Frankie never met a stranger and when you saw one, you saw the other.  They both loved to dressed for any occasion.  Francine remained a faithful member in good standing after her husband passed.  Francine loved traveling the world with her children, her grandchildren and reuniting annually with members of the Friendship Group.  Francine leaves behind her daughter Tosha, who is also a member of the SAFG and two sons, John and Marvine.  Francine may no longer be with us, but she will never be forgotten.

A long-standing member of the New Orleans Friendship Group and Treasurer at the time of her passing, she was a devoted and trustworthy friend to all. A native of Chicago, IL, she came onto the New Orleans scene in the mid to late seventies (with her son, Keith Cartright, now deceased) as wife of the late, Mr. Eddie Carter.  Poised, fashionable, friendly, she was beautiful inside and out.  Creating fashion trends and hairstyles, Alice set a standard for all to admire and remember.

She was “Thee Stallion” long before there was Meg, as she was always “On point”.

A member since Sept. 1981, she has held every position in the club except for Chaplain. She was also a member of the “Loving Cup Committee,

By-Laws Committee and would assist at the National Level wherever and whenever needed. She was also an active member of “The Big Easy” social club.
